Privacy policy.

This policy explains how Waterdial collects and uses information when you use the website.

Information you enter

Location searches and manual hardness values are processed in your browser in the current version and are not submitted to a Waterdial account. If you submit the contact form, we receive your name, email address, topic and message through our email-delivery provider.

Server logs and analytics

Our hosting provider may process IP addresses, device information, requested pages, timestamps and security logs. We may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate usage. This policy will be updated before materially different analytics are enabled.

Advertising and cookies

Waterdial displays third-party advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to serve, measure and personalise ads where legally permitted.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google's consent message asks for your choice before cookies or identifiers are used for personalised advertising. You can accept, decline or manage your options in that message, and you can change your choice later using its privacy settings control. Where you decline, ads may still appear but will not be personalised.

Google advertising

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this and other sites. You can manage ad personalisation at Google Ads Settings. Learn more at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Affiliate links

Some outbound product links may be affiliate links. A retailer may set cookies or receive referral parameters to attribute a purchase. See our affiliate disclosure.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by hosting, security, analytics, consent-management and advertising providers as necessary to operate the site. Email is retained only as long as reasonably required to answer an enquiry, maintain records or meet legal obligations.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of personal information. You may also withdraw consent. Contact us through the contact page. You may complain to your local privacy regulator.

Children

Waterdial is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International processing

Service providers may process information outside your country. Where required, appropriate contractual and legal safeguards will be used.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service and its providers change. The date at the top identifies the current version.
